Cassalia is a 2007 graduate of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York. A captain his senior year, Cassalia led the Dolphins to back-to-back Division II National Championships and was named a First Team All-American each of his two years with the program. After graduating, Cassalia played two seasons in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL,) one with the San Francisco Dragons and one with the Rochester Rattlers. Cassalia is a 2003 graduate of high school lacrosse powerhouse West Genesee, where he was a three-year letterwinner and won two New York State Championships.
